I installed Linux MEPIS on my laptop. Well they r pretty cool but one spoiler...
ERROR11: Unknown Device etc.... Press any key
I know how to fix this problem...
step1: press any key... you will get into a Non GUI screen... Press "E" to edit 1st boot option (newest Kernel in most cases)
step2: if your 1st command line is "root ,0) then GRUB f*** up a bit...
step3: write root (hd0,0) (if you dont have any partitions and this disk is ur primary one)
step4: press b to boot... it will boot fine
step5: login from ROOT account (administrator rights)
step6: go to Documents, click root, click boot, click GRUB then open menu.lst and edit the mistaken "root ,0) to root (hd0,0) to both options, newest kernel and specific kernel (2nd option). Do not modify 3rd options, it's usually MEMTEST.
step7: Enjoy :)
